Background
The Baldwinsville Community Scholarship Foundation was established in 1974 and is the local affiliate chapter of Scholarship America. The foundation has a 13 member volunteer board made up of community members and Baldwinsville School District staff.
Mission
The foundation is a not for profit organization whose mission is to raise, receive and administer funds to provide scholarships to graduating students from the Baldwinsville Central School District that will assist them in their pursuit of higher education.
Scholarship Program
- Scholarships range from $1,000 -- $2,100
- 113 scholarships were awarded in 2008 totaling $124,490
- One simple application makes a student eligible for all applicable scholarships in the Scholarship Program
- Students must be planning to attend a 2 year, 4 year, business or vocational school and qualify to be a recipient of particular scholarships and awards.
- Application forms are available beginning December 4, 2008 in the Career Resource Center at Baker High School or can be downloaded from this website
